Sliding gates are available in tracked sliding design for level ground, cantilevered designs where kerbs, crossfall or rough ground is to be traversed and telescopic gates for level ground with restricted space for the open gate to be positioned.

Gates are of fully welded construction from a range of steel sections with several options of anti-scaling devices, infill panels, mesh and cladding. Decorative features can be incorporated.

AAC's business is to select the most suitable drive unit for the site and entry and exit methods to suit the use of the site. This may appear straightforward but how do we let in the paperboy, postman, milkman, rubbish collection, friends and the gardener... and let them out again? Covering the realities of use is where our surveyor's experience counts. All sites are subtly different because the owners and their requirements are all different.

From our long experience we know that sliding gates are often only considered for commercial applications. The reverse is true in Europe where sliding gates are the first choice for domestic users. Domestic applications can be made to look exactly like a pair of swing gates and are ideal for short or restricted drives or where the driveway rises dramatically. For commercial applications the mechanics of sliding gates often leads to higher security than swing gates.
