These are 1 1/2 brick piers in red stock bricks to take 1500mm high Victorian railings later in the project. Weatherstruck pointing add finer detail and re-constructed stone pier caps finish off the piers perfectly. These are an example of a stock brick with colour variation, weatherstruck pointing, brick on edge tops with a tile crease.

An example of curved top walls emerging from a support pier. Edging to walls and piers in blue engineering bricks. A cottage style is achieved with bonnet tile pier cappings.

This large Victorian sliding gate is able to carry these large piers. Generally 2 to 2 1/2 brick piers work best. An example of light brick colour, with curved brick on edge detail. Re-constructed stone pier caps to complete the piers.

This picture shows another pier variation with a lower plinth step. An example of a brick / sandstone combination which provides an interesting texture and variation of colour.
