These are 1 1/2 brick piers in red stock bricks to take 1500mm high Victorian railings later in the project. Weatherstruck pointing add finer detail and re-constructed stone pier caps finish off the piers perfectly.
These are an example of a stock brick with colour variation, weatherstruck pointing, brick on edge tops with a tile crease.

A cottage style is achieved with bonnet tile pier cappings.
This large Victorian sliding gate is able to carry these large piers. Generally 2 to 2 1/2 brick piers work best.
