The gates below are for fully frame ledged and braced manufacture. Joints being tenoned, glued and where required doweled.

Pressure treated softwood can give as long if not longer life than hardwood. Modern stains can be applied to give a hardwood appearance. If you wish to paint the gates we recommend that advise is sought for the correct paints taking into account the type of wood [porosity and grain], exposure to sunlight and general weather.
